INCR'EDIBLE ROUEN
Pour le concours Europan d’urbanisme transitoire, le projet s’inspire d’Incr’Edible et imagine une ville nourricière fondée sur une multitude de jardins partagés. À Rouen, le site d’étude s’inscrit dans une enclave au potentiel rare, en arrière des quais de Seine, sur la rive gauche, à la lisière du centre historique et des anciennes emprises ferroviaires de Saint-Sever.Entre ville et nature, densité et respiration, héritage et projection, le projet explore des formes de développement hybrides, fondées sur la co-création, l’abondance partagée et la solidarité. Il s’appuie sur l’expérience des Incroyables Comestibles, mouvement international de potagers en libre accès, pour proposer une reconquête progressive des friches urbaines et industrielles en cinq étapes.L’ancienne gare devient ainsi un support de transformation, une porte d’entrée vers une urbanité plus fertile, plus ouverte et plus collective.
For the Europan temporary urbanism competition, the project draws on the Incr’Edible concept and imagines a food-producing city built around a network of shared gardens. In Rouen, the site lies in a rare enclave hidden behind the Seine quays on the left bank, at the edge of the historic city centre and the former Saint-Sever railway grounds.Between city and nature, density and openness, legacy and projection, the project explores hybrid forms of development based on co-creation, shared abundance, and solidarity. It builds on the experience of the Incredible Edible movement, an international initiative promoting freely accessible gardens, to propose a five-step process for the gradual transformation of abandoned railway and industrial sites.The former station thus becomes a platform for change, a gateway to a more fertile, open, and collective form of urbanity.
