Inspirés des moucharabiehs d’Orient, le dispositif ne filtre plus la lumière mais la chaleur, transformant le radiateur en source invisible de confort thermique. In a high-end Paris apartment, these custom mashrabiya radiator covers reinterpret a technical element as a crafted architectural feature. Designed for clients with a strong affinity for contemporary art and craftsmanship, the pieces merge furniture, ornament and performance. CNC-carved from fire-rated M1 plywood, the panels are integrated flush within the wall. Their perforated pattern, inspired by abstract and dreamlike landscapes, varies in depth to allow heat to circulate while creating a layered visual effect. Referencing traditional mashrabiya screens, the design filters not light but warmth, transforming the radiator into a hidden source of thermal comfort. The object disappears; what remains is an elegant surface mediating between technique and atmosphere. Each panel is digitally modelled, machine-milled and hand-finished, combining computational precision with tactile softness.
